# What is Loadout?

Loadout helps game developers fund their work through token trading fees. We give teams a place to show what they're building, launch a token and keep their community updated.

The game comes first. It can be in development, already released or already generating revenue. It can use traditional game infrastructure. Tokens launched through Loadout are on Solana.

### For developers

Publish the game, team, roadmap and use of funds. Choose a launch route and token model, then earn your share of eligible trading fees as people buy and sell. You keep control of the game and its development.

Curated Launches include our team and project review. Instant Launches provide a self-service route, with the possibility of becoming verified later. [Launch Types](https://loadout.gitbook.io/product-docs/for-developers/launch-types) explains the choices.

### For traders

Assess the team, available builds, development progress and token terms. You can trade on the active curve and in the market after graduation. Liquidity, fees and slippage affect execution. Verification does not guarantee a successful game or a profitable token.

### Funding and graduation

The standard game curve fee is 5%, split into 4 percentage points for the studio and 1 for Loadout before referrals and rebates. Studio buybacks use a configured portion of the studio allocation.

New curated launches target 150 SOL in real curve reserves; instant launches target 85 SOL. Those reserves become liquidity at graduation. A studio earns its development funds separately through fees.

The standard official game pool starts at 2%. LOAD's official pool has a separate 1.5% fee. See [Fee Structure](https://loadout.gitbook.io/product-docs/overview/fees) for deductions and allocation examples, and check each project's settings before trading.
