# Staking

Staking lets participants deposit supported assets into a vault and earn the rewards assigned to it.

**Rollout status:** these guides cover the new staking release. Availability depends on the pools enabled in the app. A documented pool or reward type should not be treated as open for deposits until it appears there with its terms.

### Token staking and liquidity staking

Token staking deposits LOAD into a token vault. Liquidity staking deposits both assets of a supported pair into a vault-controlled liquidity position. Game staking uses the graduated game's supported pool.

Read the asset requirements before depositing. A liquidity position can return a different mix of assets because its inventory changes as people trade. Its value can underperform holding the assets separately.

### Rewards arrive in different ways

| Reward asset                  | Claim behaviour in the new system                                    |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| LOAD                          | Becomes a locked restaked position in the LOAD token vault           |
| SOL fees                      | Paid to the wallet through the claim flow                            |
| Other supported reward tokens | Enter a reward lock; early withdrawal can forfeit part of the reward |

The vault shows which rewards it has. Not every vault has a funded campaign in every reward slot.

### Terms and estimates

Check the deposit assets, lock duration, reward multiplier, capacity and withdrawal conditions before signing. Flexible and locked positions have different terms. Reward locks are separate from the lock on a deposited position.

Displayed APRs are estimates from current reward rates, prices and stake. Campaign emissions can change over time, and more stake changes each participant's share. An estimate is not a fixed return.
