# Fee Structure

The fee depends on the token, trading stage and pool. Start with the live quote, then check how the fees are allocated.

### Standard trading fees

| Token and stage | Trading fee |
| ----------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| Game token on the bonding curve | 5% standard fee |
| Game token in its official graduated pool | 2% standard starting fee |
| LOAD in the official LOAD/SOL pool | 1.5% |

Temporary launch-protection fees can change the cost of an opening buy. Solana transaction costs are separate. Independent pools can charge different fees.

### On the game bonding curve

The standard 5% fee allocates 4 percentage points to the studio and 1 to Loadout. Meteora does not take a fee from trades on Loadout's custom curve.

On 100 SOL of eligible curve trading volume, that is 4 SOL for the studio before its buyback allocation and 1 SOL for Loadout before referral and rebate obligations.

If the studio allocates 25% of its fee share to buybacks, 1 SOL of that 4 SOL funds buybacks and 3 SOL remains for the studio. The 25% is an example; use the project's actual setting.

### After graduation

At a 2% game-pool fee, Meteora's 20% share of the collected fee is equivalent to 0.4% of traded value. The remaining 1.6% is the LP-fee amount before any compounding and before accounting for which positions earned it.

For the graduation position's standard 80/20 studio/protocol splitter, the following example assumes it earns all eligible LP fees, with no compounding and no studio buyback allocation:

| Allocation | Per 100 SOL of eligible pool volume |
| ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| Total pool fee | 2 SOL |
| Meteora | 0.4 SOL |
| Studio | 1.28 SOL |
| Gross Loadout, before referrals and rebates | 0.32 SOL |

This example is conditional. If a pool compounds fees, that portion is reinvested before distribution. If the studio has buybacks enabled, its buyback share reduces the SOL it retains. Staking vault positions have their own disclosed fee policy; their receipts should not be treated as identical to the graduation position's splitter.

### Referrals and rebates

On eligible referred activity, the protocol reward allocation splits 40% to the referrer, 20% to the trader and 40% to Loadout. These percentages apply to the eligible protocol allocation. They do not apply to the entire trade or studio share.

Without a qualifying registered referral, the referral and rebate portions remain with the protocol. Post-graduation rewards depend on indexed eligible activity and published distributions. See [Referral Program](https://loadout.gitbook.io/product-docs/for-traders/referrals).

### LOAD and other markets

LOAD's 1.5% official-pool fee has its own allocations for buybacks, treasury, compounding and protocol rewards. Game-token examples should not be applied to LOAD.

Tokens remain transferable. Trading through independent pools does not automatically fund the studio or Loadout. Revenue follows the fees actually earned by the relevant positions.
