# Getting Started

Start with a clear explanation of the game, the team and what the funding will let you build.

You can launch while the game is in development. Games that are already released or earning revenue can launch too. Using Loadout does not require adding blockchain features to the game.

### Prepare the project

Have the studio and game descriptions, team information, roadmap, use of funds and visual assets ready. Include builds, gameplay footage, screenshots, design documentation, store pages and community links where available. Be direct about what exists today and what is still planned.

Connect the Solana wallet authorised to manage the project. Keep enough SOL available for the network costs shown during publishing.

### Choose the launch route

Curated Launches go through our team and project review and target 150 SOL in real curve reserves. Instant Launches use the self-service route and target 85 SOL. An instant project can be reviewed for verification later.

Use the route available in the app and review the final configuration before signing. Existing projects can have earlier settings.

### Choose the token terms

Decide between Fair Launch and Studio Launch. Review team and treasury allocations, vesting, optional staking rewards, the fee-funded buyback share and any separate game-revenue commitment.

The updated staking flow uses a separate reward allocation. It must fit within the combined reserved-supply limit. [Launch Types](https://loadout.gitbook.io/product-docs/for-developers/launch-types) explains the limits and rollout status.

### Understand the funding

The standard curve fee is 5%, with 4 percentage points allocated to the studio before its buyback share. After graduation, the standard official pool starts at 2% and follows its pool deductions and allocation policy.

The graduation reserve seeds liquidity. Your development funding comes from your fee income and other disclosed funding sources. Neither launch nor graduation guarantees a funding amount.
